Todd Moelker, Owner & Inspector
Todd and his wife, Lynda, are the parents of three adult sons. They have lived in the West Michigan area their entire lives. They enjoy travel and time spent outdoors. A licensed builder since 1993, Todd has 18 years of residential and commercial construction experience. After completing the ASHI @ Home Study Course and passing the National Home Inspectors Exam, he founded Alert Inspection Services, LLC in 2001.
Todd is an ASHI Certified Inspector, has earned the ASHI Great Lakes Chapter “Inspector By Review” designation and has passed the National Radon Measurement Proficiency Exam. In addition to his hands-on knowledge of commercial construction, Todd has completed the CDW Training Course and Testing in order to provide the highest quality commercial inspections.
Todd has a passion for inspecting and — even after thousands of inspections — continues to work to learn more to better serve his clients.
Ben Grooters, Inspector
Ben and his wife, Stephanie, have two sons and live in Grand Rapids, near the zoo. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, enjoying every bit of what Michigan has to offer. Ben has been involved in property management for more than 15 years.
His years of property management make Ben an excellent asset for rental property inspections. Ben has also worked as a Mitigation Manager at Service Master Clean Care. Ben studied water damage restoration at the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration and also studied Construction Trades and Management at Grand Rapids Community College.
Ben’s work as a manager in the property restoration field gives him an excellent understanding of water concerns as they relate to various components in the home and provides him with excellent communication skills. Ben apprenticed under Todd Moelker and is an ASHI Certified Inspector.
Chris DeHaan, Office Manager
Chris and her husband, Jesse, have three sons and enjoy spending time together in Michigan’s great outdoors. Chris is an indispensable part of our team. She takes care of scheduling and is the front line for almost all our communications. Her excellent work allows our inspectors to stay focused on inspections so that as a team, we can provide seamless service from scheduling through the delivery of the inspection reports.
